Mental Health Counseling · Chelmsford, MA
You've been carrying weight that wasn't yours to bear — anxiety that won't quiet down, grief that feels endless, patterns you can't seem to break. Therapy isn't about fixing what's broken. It's about reclaiming what's been buried. Let's start there.
Services
Every person's journey is different. These are the areas where I most commonly walk alongside clients — but your story is what matters most.
When your mind won't stop racing, when worry colors everything you do — you don't have to live like this. Together we'll uncover what's driving it and build real tools for calm.
The heaviness, the numbness, the sense that nothing matters the way it used to. Depression lies to you. Therapy is where we start untangling the truth from the weight.
What happened to you doesn't have to define what's possible for you. Trauma reshapes the nervous system — and with the right support, it can help heal it too.
Whether it's a partnership, family dynamics, or the pattern of repeating the same painful conversations — understanding the roots is the first step toward something different.
Career changes, loss, identity shifts, becoming a parent — the moments that reshape who you are can also be the moments that define you. Let's navigate them with intention.
When you've spent years criticizing yourself or living someone else's expectations, rediscovering who you actually are can feel like coming home to yourself for the first time.
About
I became a therapist because I believe deeply in the human capacity for growth — even when it doesn't feel possible. That belief isn't naive; it's earned. Through years of clinical practice, I've witnessed people transform their relationship with themselves in ways that surprise even them.
I hold a Master's degree in Counseling and am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Massachusetts. My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative. I don't believe in sitting silently taking notes — I believe in showing up as a real person, meeting you where you are, and working together toward genuine change.
Whether you're navigating a specific challenge or sensing that something deeper needs attention, you deserve a space where you're heard without judgment and supported without agenda. That's the space I offer.
Approach
Traditional therapy can feel like being analyzed. My approach is rooted in the belief that healing happens in the context of a genuine human connection — not a sterile clinical encounter.
Your first session is simply a conversation. Tell me what brought you here, what you're hoping for, and what you've tried before. There's no test, no diagnosis required — just an honest exchange to see if we're a good fit.
Together, we'll map out what's really going on beneath the surface. The anxiety, the relationship patterns, the self-doubt — these are clues, not character flaws. Understanding their origin changes everything.
Armed with clarity, we build a personalized plan. This might include cognitive tools, emotional processing, communication skills, or something entirely specific to your situation. You lead; I guide.
Real change isn't linear. Some weeks you'll feel unstoppable; others, you'll feel like you're back at square one. That's normal. What matters is that you're no longer carrying it alone.
Client Voices
I was skeptical about therapy after bad experiences in the past. Gordon's different — he actually listens, challenges me when I need it, and never makes me feel like a burden. Six months later, I'm sleeping better, communicating with my partner, and actually looking forward to weekends.
After my divorce, I felt like I'd lost myself completely. Gordon helped me understand that my anxiety wasn't a weakness — it was a signal. He gave me language for things I'd felt my whole life but could never name. I finally feel like me again.
The free consultation made all the difference. I got to talk to Gordon before committing, and it immediately felt safe. He's direct without being harsh, warm without being soft. Exactly what I needed from the very first session.

Absolutely. Confidentiality is the foundation of effective therapy. What you share in our sessions stays between us, with the standard legal exceptions that apply to all licensed therapists (such as imminent danger to yourself or others). Your privacy is not something I take lightly.
There's no one-size-fits-all answer. Some clients find relief in 8–12 sessions; others benefit from longer-term work, especially when dealing with complex trauma or deeply ingrained patterns. We'll discuss your goals and check in regularly about whether therapy is still serving you. You're always in the driver's seat.
Yes. I offer both in-person sessions at my Chelmsford office and secure telehealth sessions. Some people prefer the convenience and comfort of video; others value the presence of being in the same room. We'll figure out what works best for your schedule and your needs.
